Process
-
Fill out the form, or drop me an email telling me a bit about your yard and any goals and priorities you have for your space.
Feel free to attach a few photos if you like!
-
After we’ve had a chance to connect, if it feels like a fit, we can set up a site consultation.
We’ll stroll your yard and talk about your ideas, priorities and budget.
-
If we are excited to move forward after our site visit, you will receive a design contract with an overview of your project’s scope and a flat fee for design.
The contract will include an initial visual rendering and a mood board of plants and materials that helps us establish the aesthetic and a line item estimate.
-
This is where I go into the zone and hone the visual rendering into “the plan”.
I’m a very hands-on designer. I predominately design through physical exploration of space. You will see me pacing and sitting in various places and pacing some more. I’m taking it all in and mapping your yard. I’m exploring how to move through through the space and where it feels right to sit and hang out. I’m considering where you might want a bit more privacy, what long range views you might want to preserve and how the landscape will look from inside your home.
I’m also poking at the soil and assessing the details of your property, shady, sunny and any, problem spots.
-
We’ll walk through your space again, and discuss the design plans so you can visualize, in real time and space, what your yard can be, and review a refined visual rendering.
From there we can confirm the budget , a deposit is placed, the contract signed and we are off and running!
I like to keep the line of communication open and flowing through the whole process from design through installation. Always discussing any recommended or necessary changes along the way.
-
We handle it all from here. A respectful installation crew will get the job done.
Final step - enjoy your new oasis!
