First Timer
Harvesting like crazy from the garden. Making lots of soup, chili, sauces and salads. What I thought was going to be Cherokee Purple tomatoes ended up being some other kind of tomato…definitely some sort of large heirloom. They are delicious though!
I went to the state fair, The Great Minnesota Get Together, for the first time. My favorite thing was the dog diving competition and the pet pavilion. I mean, of course. Will I get in a long line to pet a German Shepherd sitting on a little platform? Yes I will.
Pondering next moves. I’m feeling compelled by different sides of myself. The challenge and blessing of my life. I like to dip my hands into different pots. Perpetually curious.
Suddenly, and I do mean suddenly, there are crunchy leaves on the ground. The squirrel energy has changed from playful to busy. It’s sticky and humid and summery still but now with drifting leaves and bits of yellow and red in the trees. Perhaps the most divine confluence, that late summer feeling giving way to Fall.
